The weather couldn’t have been better for this year’s Bedford Day Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19, and The Edinburg Center was proud to once again be part of this wonderful community tradition.
More than 20 Edinburg Center members and staff joined the Bedford Day parade, proudly marching through town alongside local organizations, community groups and neighbors. Our crew brought plenty of energy to the parade route, handing out candy, waving to the crowd and making some serious noise with our clappers!
After the parade, the celebration continued at the Bedford Day fair, where the community came together to enjoy great food, local entertainment, exhibits and plenty of activities. The Edinburg Center booth was a popular stop throughout the day. Visitors stopped by to pick up an assortment of fun free giveaways, including pumpkin scoops, Pop It stress balls, sunglasses, bubbles, magnet clips, and lanyards.
One of the biggest highlights was the Meaningful Whole Life art sale. The colorful and creative artwork showcased the amazing talent of the artists and attracted plenty of attention from Bedford Day visitors. It was a perfect opportunity to celebrate the creativity and accomplishments of the people we serve.

I want to give a special thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and stopped by our booth,” said Patti Maguire, President and CEO of The Edinburg Center. “It was great to see so many people come together, enjoy the festivities and be part of this great community celebration. A huge shout out to our Meaningful Whole Life artists. The art sale was incredible and really showcased their amazing creativity and talent.”
For The Edinburg Center, Bedford Day is about much more than a parade and community fair. It is an opportunity to celebrate inclusion, connection and the many people who make Bedford such a vibrant community. The Edinburg Center is already looking forward to joining the celebration again next year.
