The Edinburg Center, The Edinburg Center is proud to celebrate Courtney L., whose original painting, “Electric Betta,” was selected as the featured artwork for the October 2026 calendar published by the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers (ADDP).

Courtney’s selection highlights her artistic talent and the power of creativity as a means of self-expression, connection, and personal growth. A proud member of The Edinburg Center community for the past decade, Courtney has a deep love of art, particularly painting, and enjoys sharing her passion with others.

Her commitment to art extends beyond her own creative pursuits. Courtney volunteers as an art assistant for a local children’s afterschool program and participates in The Edinburg Center’s weekly community art group, where she can share her enthusiasm for creativity with others.  Through her artwork, she finds a sense of peace, expresses her individuality, and shares her unique perspective with the world.

ADDP’s monthly calendar showcases original artwork created by individuals receiving services through its member providers across Massachusetts. In addition to celebrating their creativity, the calendar highlights important facts and data about the human services industry and is distributed monthly to Massachusetts legislators to raise awareness of issues affecting providers and the people they support.

Being selected as the October featured artist gives Courtney’s work an opportunity to reach a wider audience, bringing greater visibility to the artistic accomplishments of individuals supported by community-based human services organizations.

The Edinburg Center congratulates Courtney on this well-deserved recognition. Her selection is a wonderful reminder of the many ways people express their talents, pursue their passions, and contribute to their communities through art.
