DCF Support and Stabilization

The Edinburg Center brings decades of experience providing team-based, wraparound services to youth and families through a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and family-centered approach.

Edinburg’s Better Together Team

The Edinburg Center’s Better Together Team provides Comprehensive Support and Stabilization services to children and family members with a disability. Our support is rooted in our established Better Together model, which integrates evidence-based practices from the fields of Mental Health and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

While ABA is traditionally used with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, or Acquired Brain Injury, research supports its effectiveness in addressing high-intensity, hard-to-manage behaviors across a range of diagnoses. Many individuals with these behaviors are unable to access or benefit from traditional therapeutic approaches alone.

The Better Together model bridges that gap by offering a collaborative, trauma-informed approach proven effective in complex situations where standard interventions may fall short.

Our multidisciplinary team includes a seasoned Program Director, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Bachelor’s-level Outreach Workers and consultations with Nursing and OT services.

Together, we provide whole-family support focused on:

  • Strengthening family relationships
  • Addressing the effects of trauma
  • Reducing interfering or unsafe behaviors
  • Enhancing stability and safety in the home
  • Building caregiver skills and confidence

The Better Together model is uniquely designed to meet families where they are—and to support real, sustainable change.
