Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week was a special time for The Edinburg Center to honor the heart and soul of our services—our dedicated, compassionate, and innovative Direct Support Professionals.
Each day, these incredible individuals provide essential care and unwavering support to people with disabilities, helping them live more independent, meaningful lives. While their work often happens behind the scenes, their impact is seen and felt every day across our programs and throughout our community.
To show our appreciation, we celebrated DSP Recognition Week with several exciting activities and heartfelt gestures:
- Daily Raffle Drawings: Every day at 2 p.m., we held a raffle where DSPs had a chance to win a $100 gift card to Speedway, Market Basket, Cheesecake Factory, or Target.
- Special Lunches: Our DSPs were treated to special lunches as a small token of thanks for their hard work and dedication.
- Gifts of Gratitude: Each DSP received a long sleeve shirt featuring The Edinburg Center logo and the message, “Caring is my Superpower”—a fitting tribute to their everyday heroism.
- Spotlight on Excellence: As part of the week’s celebration, we proudly spotlighted two remarkable team members: Francis Ndawula and Wenley Morissaint. Their compassion, commitment, and dedication to the people they support exemplify the values of The Edinburg Center. We are incredibly proud to have them on our team.
- Voices of Appreciation: A special bulletin board in the main hallway featured heartfelt “shout-outs” from individuals served by The Edinburg Center, expressing their appreciation for the care and support they receive. It was a powerful reminder of the connections our DSPs build and the difference they make every single day.
