Homeless Assistance Coalition

The Edinburg Center is a proud member of the Homeless Assistance Coalition which serves homeless individuals and families in the greater Waltham area. Led by Sergeant Robert Scarpone of the Waltham Police Department, the Coalition is comprised of members of the Waltham and Watertown Police Departments and a number of homeless service providers. Coalition members include; The Community Day Center of Waltham, Inc., Salvation Army, New Hope Medical Center, American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, WATCH Community Development Corporation, and Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen and Men’s and Women’s Shelters. The Coalition meets on a monthly basis to coordinate outreach efforts across programs to assist homeless individuals and families. The Edinburg Center collaborates with each of these homeless service providers, police departments and other organizations to provide community outreach and follow-up services to those who need help connecting with mental health services.
